Planning to Create an iPhone Theme: Hyper Glow!

Wheez, I just wish that I have more than 24 hours a day. On work days, I’m working from morning to evening. After that I use my free time to update my Free Download Themes websites. I rarely have much free time to update this blog or my share area. But this time is exceptional, I want to share a little thing here first, then use my remaining free time for update the Free Download Themes website. Well, its about theme, an iPhone theme~!

It’s all begin from a week ago, my work colleague suddenly interested to make a theme for his Blackberry Javelin. Oh, he is also the one who manage the Free Download Themes website together with me. Then he made a simple yet nice theme, Doraemon Theme, for Blackberry Javelin and contribute it to the website.

Then his work influence my other work colleague. She also have a Blackberry Javelin, and she really loves Hello Kitty. She began to make her own Hello Kitty theme until now (revised few times, and almost finished by now). Meanwhile, the Doraemon theme author (hehehe, no name ^^) also made his version of Hello Kitty theme, which is done by now and already contributed to the Free Download Themes website.

Alright, you know what, ANOTHER work colleague of mine also have a Blackberry Javelin, and right now he’s in process to MAKE a theme for Blackberry Javelin! At the office, I work in a room with 4 people in it, and it’s only me who doesn’t own Blackberry – ehem mine is iPhone 2G~ – while the other 3 use Blackberry Javelin! Sometimes they ask me to sell my iPhone and get Blackberry (Javelin) instead LOL~! Nope, thank youuu~ I still loooveeee my iPhone 2G!

Okaaay, so, I’ve been challenged to make my own theme, for iPhone of course ^^. I also want to contribute it to Free Download Themes website, not only just share themes made by someone else. I’m still a noob at making iPhone theme, so I think I would just make a simple theme. A simple theme is fit best for my iPhone since it won’t eat much RAM and won’t slow down my iPhone, well compared to iPhone 3GS which has RAM twice more than the one 2G or 3G has.

At first I haven’t decide a name for my theme, since I just change the background/wallpapers, dock image, and some dock icons. There were 2 different theme scheme, the clean white theme and black and color glowing theme. Both of theme has my own logo in it (of course, since it’s MY own theme). Anyway, it’s really a simple one. Click the image for larger view.

After created these two themes (it’s not even complete, you can say it’s still in alpha phase ^^), I show these screenshots to a forum (Mac Club Indonesia Forum). I was surprised that few people like my themes and want it to be finished. They like the glowing stuff more than the simple white one, which made me think to completing the glowing theme. And yes, I’ve been revised few things for that theme, like, the wallpapers, the lockscreen looks, icons, and of course I give it a name: Hyper Glow theme. Nice, eh? :p

I’m combine it with images and stuffs from other themes like Glasklart theme and PerfectStorm2 theme. It’s nice to see the early result that even with a default icon, this theme still looks great! But don’t worry, I will try to make its own icon for the other primary icons (Settings, Photos, Calendar, etc). I will try my best to complete this theme, even though I’m not sure when it will be completed since I’m very very very busy (that’s why I wish to have for more than 24 hours a day!).

Soo… are you interested? Perhaps after I complete it for iPhone, I can begin to convert it to other mobile themes (Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, etc).
