Hello!
I present another new and nice looking (at least for me) theme for BlackBerry Curve 8520 aka Gemini! ^^
I called it X-Overoid (read: cross over droid). The story behind this theme is, I want to make a theme with some touch of Android interface combined with iPhone icon and iOS 4 wallpaper. Yep, cross over between Android and iPhone interface. Actually, at first I want to call it “blu-e-droid” since I use blue wallpaper in the main screen and lockscreen (which is inspired from Sony PSP wallpaper – which is also used in PS3 and Xperia handheld), but, meh… Cross over is the perfect way to describe it.
Okay, first of all, a big big BIG thanks to FindIcons.com and Matthieu James for these great iPhone-like icons (a lot of ‘em!!), Faenza Icon set. These great icons made me able to finish the theme fast since I don’t need more time to find other icons to fit this theme. I really appreciate it, thanks a lot 
These are some features of this theme:
- 5 user define applications on home screen
- OS 5.x animated transition
- a LOT of custom iPhone-like icons (Faenza Icon set)
- iPhone-like feel plus little touch from Android interface
- Big clock
- It’s FREE!

As always, this is only for OS 5.x handheld. Update your Gemini to OS 5.x first before trying to install this theme. I won’t take any responsibility any problem caused by installing this theme, so please be noted. I used to like iOS interface, but it looks oldish now. For this time being, I really like Android OS interface. Fresh and designed pretty well! Bravo, Google!

hey dude, how can i apply it… tried to change but it semms that the phone is locked or something…it does not show any other theme…any suggestions?
Can you provide me some screenshots of your Gemini?
A couple friends of mine already test it on their Gemini and it works just fine.
I don’t know if it is because of my carrier but when I downloaded it…couldn’t make it work and there are no other themes available.

What OS are you using? This theme only usable for OS 5.x and above. Don’t even try to download it with OS 4.x…
Anyway, try go to Options and select Applications, wait for it to build the application list.
Then at top right, select “Third Party” instead of “Core” or “Add-on”.
Find something like “com_plazmic_theme_gemini_x_overoid”. It should be there if you’ve download it properly before. If you do find it, try to delete it and re-download.
Meanwhile, you can try download other theme for Gemini at http://www.free-download-themes.com

Yea, it’s just too bad Gemini screen resolution is lower and different from Javelin.
It would be nice if Gemini theme can be shared to Javelin as Javelin user can use Onyx theme as well since they share the same screen res…
yeap, that Faenza iconset really look nice, I’m using it on my computer too. I’m using Ubuntu btw.

Unfortunately, no.
This theme is only available for BlackBerry Curve 8520 (Gemini). I think Curve 8530 and 9300 can use it as well if they have the same screen resolution.
As for Onyx and Javelin, it’s different. So, it just doesn’t work.

Why don’t you just upgrade the firmware to OS 5.x?
It’s easy and free, plus you got some other new features as well for your handhelds.
It’s very worth to try!
