Warning: Install at ur own risk!

Watch it, whenever you want to install from Cydia, especially applications, make sure you have read carefully the information for that one, at “More Info”. Read the functions, read the qualification, etc. You don’t want get any problem, do you? Or else, you might need to restore your gadget, is that what you want?

Well, these applications are some reasons why jailbreak the iPhone/iPod Touch is a good thing. Haven’t jailbreak it yet? Then this post perhaps will make you want to jailbreak it. Hehe, please read on!

AppSync 3.0 + SBSettings + Supreme Preferences

AppSync 3.0 + SBSettings + Supreme Preferences

AppSyncs 3.0:
This is the first and the must have applications for jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch. This application is very useful for playing cracked applications or games which we can download at: http://www.appulo.us/appdb
AppSyncs 3.0 can be found at hackulo cydia repository (http://cydia.hackulo.us)
Status: FREE

SBSettings:
This app is for shortcut some important toggles for our lovely gadget (like wifi, bluetooth, 3G, phone, notes, etc). SBSettings has no icon in the homscreen, so to toggle it, simply just swipe the status bar. Oh, you can add another toggles (which isn’t included in standard installation pack of SBSettings) like “Autolock”, “Push”, etc, just search around and download it. Other very useful functions are for Refresh/Respring/TurnOff quickly, hide unwanted icons, “kill” unwanted process, add “%” to status bar, etc. You don’t need to add any repo, because default repo in Cydia already had it and you can just search it right away.
Status: FREE

Supreme Preferences :
This is all the Tweaks u need! Want to add extra icons in the Dock to 5, 6, or 7 icons? Add “%” for battery? Music info? Change carrier name to anything you like? Change clock name? YES YOU CAN with this usefull app. With this alone, you won’t need MakeItMine, Five Icon Docks, etc. This app also has no icon the homescreen. To activate it, you need to have Winterboard installed and activate it there (just like activate normal themes in Winterboard). After that, you will probably notice the standard Settings icon has changed, and you will find the Supreme Preferences in the Settings.

Winterboard + Categories + iBlank&Blanknull + Springboard Column/Rows Tweaks

Winterboard + Categories + iBlank&Blanknull + Springboard Column/Rows Tweaks

Winterboard:
Bored with your standard iPhone OS theme? With this, you can change the icons, background, lockscreen, sound, etc. Yes, Winterboard is all about skinning! To use the themes, it’s pretty easy. Just download themes from Cydia, and that themes will automatically added to Winterboard list. After that, check Winterboard list, tap the one you would like to use, then exit Winterboard (press Home button). Wait for it to loading and preparing the new theme, and VIOLA! Enjoy your new theme! :D

Categories:
Have too many icons in springboard confused you? Want to have clean and tidy Springboard by sort these icons into some categories and put it into folder? Use Categories app! The function? Of course, to move the icons into folders that you can chose. Example, with Categories, you can create Games folder, and then you can move ALL of your games into that single folder. Pretty neat, huh? BUT… this application eat quite lot of RAM (memory). So make sure you have enough RAM when sorting the icons with this app. If not, well, it will probably crash and send you back to springboard. iPhone 3Gs user will have no problem for this (since 3GS has 256MB RAM installed, twice more than old iPhone or 3G version)

iBlank+BlankNull & Springboard Column/Rows Tweaks:
With iBlank you can create blank icons, which will be very useful for some complicated yet beautiful themes. Then, Blanknull will affect that blank icons to not open anything when we tap it. Without Blanknull, whenever we tap the blank icon, it will open Safari.
Just like iBlank & Blanknull, we need some tweaks for supporting some themes (the complicated ones). Sometimes, complicated themes need some modification in icon number at springboard or at Dock. Tweaks that we probably need are: “Five-Column Springboard”, “FiveIRows GUI”, and “SixRows”.

(note: install just what you need for, don’t try to install all of them)

AttachmentSaver + Safari Download Manager

AttachmentSaver + Safari Download Manager

AttachmentSaver:
Just like its name, this application is integrated to iPhone Mail application where we can save the attachment in our emails. We can save the attachment, like documents, file, etc to our gadget. But don’t forget, for documents, install first application for edit these file like Docs To Go or QuickOffice so we can edit that documents right away.

Safari Download Manager:
This app is integrated to iPhone Safari. With this, you can say we will have Download Manager in the Safari, just like in Mac of Windows browser. In the process, we still able to browse around when Download Manager doing its job (downloading stuffs, what else?).

Installous + YourTube

Installous + YourTube

Installous :
Hmm, for me, this application is very useful for people who get/need their phone/iPod jailbroken from other people hand. In that case, they won’t have their own iTunes. So, whenever they want to add new application, they need this application first. The application connected to http://appulo.us website, where we can download cracked games and apps. With Installous, we can directly download from iPhone/iTouch and it will automatically installed, without need to sync from iTunes.
Status: FREE
Repo: http://cydia.hackulo.us/

YourTube :
You can guess, this is YouTube Video Downloader that integrated to iPhone YouTube application. We can directly download from iPhone/iTouch for videos in YouTube, with option to chose resolution we want to download. This one is pretty useful for people who like to collect videos from YouTube.

Backgrounder + Kirikae

Backgrounder + Kirikae

Backgrounder:
Just like its name, this application useful for multitasking. With this, we can open some apps or games and it will still run in the background. Remember, the more apps/games you had backgrounded, the more it will eat your RAM/Memory.

Kirikae:
Kirikae is japanese name for “switch” if I was right, hehehe. Kirikae and Backgrounder will make a good couple. Backgrounder will enabled some chosen apps/games to still running in the bacgkround (so we won’t need to wait again for opening that apps/games), while Kirikae will enable you to switch between that backgrounded applications quickly just by double press the Home button. Very neat and fast! This is very useful, especially 3GS user, because this app eat a LOT of RAM. Oh one more, since you will always need to double press the Home button everytime you want to switch app, this app surely will kill your Home button someday. So use with precautions. ^^

biteSMS + iPhone Delivery Report

biteSMS + iPhone Delivery Report

biteSMS:
For me, this is the best SMS client application for iPhone YET! BiteSMS has ALL OS 3.xx features (like copy paste, etc) PLUS you will have Quick Reply & Quick Compose feature. That’s the best feature, since it will enable us to do some texting while in other app (well, you can call it as multitasking, hehehe). Oh anothing thing, we could also show the Profile Picture in the SMS, isn’t it cool?

iPhone Delivery Report:
Don’t forget to install it! Now iPhone will have delivery report for SMS! For activate it, just go to Setting -> Message -> Delivery report & Flash DR “ON”. Cool!

MCleaner + Recent Call/Log Editor

MCleaner + Recent Call/Log Editor

MCleaner:
Want to hide some contact numbers? Want to blacklist some contact numbers, phone calls, or SMS? With MCleaner, you can do it all!

Recent Call/Log Editor:
Combine it with MCleaner. With this we can clear Call log one by one. This app is similar to MobileLog, but this one is simpler and already integrated to “Recent Calls” iPhone standard.

Status: Commercial App

Cyntact & Cycorder

Cyntact & Cycorder

Both of these apps are one of the best Tweaks & Apps from Cydia, since the creator is Saurik himself! With Cyntact you can show the Profile Picture for each of your contact in iPhone default Contact app mainscreen (without need to check the detail for each contact – check the screenshot above for sample). Well, this is very useful if you are kind of person who like to organize your contacts. With photos you will recognize them quickly without need to think to remember them. This Tweaks can be combined with FeX (app from App Store). With FeX, you wouldn’t worry about finding a photo for each of your contact, because FeX will try to sync your friends in Contact to your friends in Facebook and it will automatically download their current photo profile and add it into your contact in iPhone. PRetty neat.

Cycorder? Of course, for you who want to record video but don’t have 3GS, Cycorder is your best bet. It’s FREE and simple. The best video recorder so far in Cydia.

Spotbright & Universal Search

Spotbright & Universal Search

Both of these apps are very useful to optimize more Spotlight app from iPhone OS 3.x.x! With Spotbright, now we can search hidden apps (for example, you have some games placed in folder with Categories app, these games considered as “hidden”). As default, Spotlight can’t detect these hidden apps in Categories folder, so now with Spotbright, these hidden ones can be searched as well. Oh, another important thing is, with Spotbright there will be “Recent Items” in a list of 6 last played apps.

Combined with Universal Search, we can browse or search to the internet right from Spotlight. Also integrated with some websites like Wikipedia, IMDb, CNN, Flickr, even to Twitter. The fun thing is, we can chose which website that we want to integrate to the Universal Search.

Status: Paid Apps ( Universal Search) & Free (Spotbright)

Cracked version: http://repo.sinfuliphone.com/ (for Universal Search)

I wonder, how much RAM it will take to install and activate all of them? 3GS users sure are lucky to have 256MB RAM… :(
